Parable has developed and produced two series for a brand-new football-focused channel and app, OTRO, which launched earlier this year.

Available all over the world, OTRO promises to help fans of the game get closer than ever before to their favourite players. OTRO is a subscription service, filled with both entertaining short-form content and revealing documentary pieces, all created with – and featuring – young stars of today and established legends of football. Their impressive line-up of talent includes Messi, Neymar Jr, Dele Alli, and Luis Suárez, as well as David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, and Eric Cantona.

Parable was tasked with developing ideas for launch, and had two commissioned – a factual-entertainment series Building the Player, and the channel’s landmark documentary strand Six Steps.

Six Steps is a series of personal and revealing biographical documentaries, each film charting six landmark moments in a player’s life, and uncovering the unique history that led them to where they are today. Featuring intimate interviews with the players themselves, their family members, childhood coaches, and lifelong mentors, Six Steps introduces well-known players in new and surprising ways.

Three out of six episodes are currently live on with more coming soon.

Also live on OTRO, Building the Player is the definitive insight into today’s footballing legends, unlocking the formulae behind their success, and uncovering innovations in sports science and recovery that are helping to drive the game forward.

With in-depth match statistics analysed by OPTA, visits to cutting-edge sports science labs as far afield as London, New York and Dubai, and tests and training with clubs including LA Galaxy, Borussia Dortmund, and Fulham, Building the Player explores the games of Messi, Neymar Jr, James Rodriguez, Suárez, Dele Alli, and Lukaku.

All six episodes are live now.
